E6
15-120 ft
A huge pinnacle rises from 3000 ft in the center of the narrowest part of the channel between Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, as if perfectly placed to intercept the nutrients being funneled through…a photographer’s dream! Where the current runs, you’ll encounter big pelagics such as schooling barracuda, trevally, surgeonfish and occasional hammerheads and eagle rays. You’ll also enjoy a plethora of reef fish including anthius, fusiliers and leaf scorpionfish. Soft corals and fans decorate the protected, lee side of the pinnacle. The Cathedral, a large swim-through, is home to a variety of poison-bristle nudibranchs and crustaceans. This is also an amazing night dive with giant cuttlefish putting in an appearance and numerous flashlight fish lighting the way.
NORTH SAVE A TACK 15-90 ft
A wall plateauing at about 75 ft is home to giant schools of big-eye trevally and barracuda. A careful search of the plateau may reveal black pygmy seahorses. Grey reef sharks patrol the wall while white tips lie along the bottom. Nearby, a line of coral bommies covered in gorgonia fans, crinoids, black coral, soft coral, and reef fish await your exploration. Look for shrimp, squat lobster, several varieties of nudibranch, moon wrasses, anemones with clownfish, and unicornfish.
BLUE RIDGE 30-90 ft
A sloping coral wall covered in vibrant hard and soft corals hides leaf scorpionfish, ribbon eels, fire gobies, and dartfish. Although you can easily get caught up in the search, don’t forget to also scan the waters around you. Schools of barracuda, white tip reef sharks, and even hammerheads are possibilities here.
SUNSET RIDGE
10-100 ft
Coral bommies covered in a rainbow of soft corals, sea fans, and crinoids house harlequin ghost pipefish, anemones and clownfish, numerous lion and scorpionfish, and unusual crabs and shrimp. The deeper ridge is frequently a hang out for schools of big eye trevally, rainbow runner, barracuda and surgeonfish. Also possible are white tip, silver tip, and grey reef sharks, bumphead maori wrasse, hawksbill and green turtles, and eagle rays.
KEENAN’S 15-90 ft
A narrow pinnacle blooms with sponges and soft corals galore. Nudibranchs, shrimp, damselfish, moon wrasses, anemones and clownfish, and blue streak fusiliers abound, while mantas regularly glide by.
CHIMNEYS 15-105 ft
3 bommies covered in hard and soft corals, anemones and crinoids of black, orange, yellow and green offer plenty of opportunity for exploration. Search the nooks and crannies for hawkfish, nudibranchs, black saddle coral groupers, scribbled filefish, and brown-banded pipefish while tons of anthias add color and movement. In the open water, you’re bound to see humpback snapper, big-eyed bream, barracuda, tuna, and a variety of sharks.

Once you’ve made your way through the tunnel, the sight of this dramatically plunging wall blanketed in pristine white coral will hold your attention. Anthias, gobies, soldierfish, squirrelfish, and fairy basslets are present, but overshadowed by the stunning terrain.
ANNIE’S BOMMIES
15-63 ft
Several large bommies featuring gorgeous soft coral bouquets of seemingly every color available. Weave in and out, exploring as you go. Nudibranchs, gobies, pipefish, and morays may come into view. Leopard sharks and blue-spotted rays may be resting nearby.
RAINBOW’S END
15-48 ft
This dive site, located on the edge of Rainbow Reef, features table corals and boulder corals and plays host to clams, Christmas tree worms, parrotfish, wrasses, angelfish, butterflyfish, moorish idols, redtooth triggerfish, blue ribbon eels, gobies, shrimps, and more.
STILL WATERS 15-100 ft
A sunken reef off the coast of Qamea provides arches and overhangs for soft coral to thrive on. Damsels, anthias, fusiliers, anemone fish, squirrelfish, dottybacks, and big-eye bream abound. Boxfish, nudibranchs, and schools of barracuda are also possible.
Beqa Island
CAESAR’S ROCKS
18-54 ft
A collection of bommies blanketed in pink, red, and orange soft corals is the focus here. The bommies provide interesting swim-throughs, channels, and caverns. Giant gorgonians conceal hawkfish and trumpetfish, while nudibranchs and blennies prefer the many cracks and crevices. Schools of tuna are also frequently sighted here.
SEVEN SISTERS
15-57 ft
Seven pinnacles provide the namesake for this section of the reef, which is covered with fans, soft corals, and crinoids in a variety of vivid colors. A discerning eye will spot octopus, flatworms, shrimps, morays, anemones, basslets, and anthias. White-tip and black-tip sharks are frequent visitors.
CARPET COVE 18-90 ft
A carpet of anemones in the shallows precedes a reef that houses scorpion leaffish of varying colors. A wall is covered in hard corals, soft corals, and fans and provides a colorful backdrop for blue ribbon eels, anemonefish, dartfish, pygmy wrasses, and batfish. The nearby wreck of an 80ft Chinese trawler is encrusted with sponges and soft corals and attracts many lionfish.
FANTASEA 15-75 ft
A coral ridge teeming with crinoids, whip corals, bubble corals, and giant gorgonian fans. Look for shrimps, orangutan crabs, lionfish, snapper, nudibranchs, flatworms, damselfish, tang, dartfish, anthias, fairy basslets, anemones and clownfish. Fields of garden eels can be found along the sandy floor nearby.
E.T. 45-63 ft
This dive site features an enormous tunnel that houses two separate chambers. The walls of the tunnel are decorated with soft corals, sea fans, and cup corals. Use a torch to search for nurse sharks, nudibranchs, sea slugs, lionfish, morays, crabs, and a variety of shrimp. A mysterious maze of smaller tunnels, at times stacked or parallel, truly lends an “out of this world” feel to the experience.
